There is uncertainty about the amount of pollution emitted from fires under different conditions – especially the difference between prescribed burns and bushfires.

This project will conduct experiments at the UTAS FireLab to investigate particulate emission factors from recreated fuel beds comprising different moisture content and fire weather. The results will be used to inform predictions and policy around managing pollution from landscape burning.
