Sajesh Kuikel

PhD Candidate

Sajesh is a PhD candidate at UNSW whose research focuses on critical fire weather associated with extreme bushfires in southeastern Australia. His work investigates the meteorological conditions that contribute to extreme fire events, including foehn winds and fire–atmosphere interactions.

His research also examines the impacts of bushfire smoke on air quality, particularly PM2.5 concentrations and their potential impacts on human health. His PhD forms part of the BNHRC's research into the present and future impacts of critical fire weather.
