Distinguished Professor Belinda Medlyn
Node Leader
Belinda Medlyn is a global leader in global change research. She is a current Laureate Fellow - the premier career Fellowship from the Australian Research Council. Her Fellowship is focussed on forecasting the future of Australian vegetation by developing a new vegetation model for the continent.
Broadly, her research focuses on how forests respond to climate change and increasing atmospheric carbon dioxide. She works at the interface between experiments to develop evidence-based models of how ecosystem productivity, water use and species composition will be affected by global change.
She has published over 170 scientific articles and is a Highly-Cited Researcher.
