Liu Zhao is a PhD. student at the University of Tasmania, focusing on monitoring and mapping post-fire vegetation structural changes and recovery. He holds degrees in Environmental Management and Spatial Sciences from Xi’an University of Science and Technology (BSc, 2020) and the University of Tasmania (MSc, 2024).

Liu worked as a GIS analyst at Esri China and a satellite industry company, with experience in GIS software and web development, database management, remote sensing data processing, and deep learning applications. He is dedicated to combining research and technical skills to address climate change challenges, particularly in understanding and enhancing post-fire vegetation resilience.
