Yixin (Ethan) Zang

PhD Candidate

Ethan Zang is a PhD Candidate at UNSW with a research focus on how climate change impacts flash flooding. His work uses hydrodynamic modelling to better understand flood risk under the changing spatial patterns of extreme precipitation.

Prior to his PhD studies at UNSW, Ethan worked as a water resources engineering consultant. His technical experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and floodplain risk management inspired his current passion for improving design flood estimation under a changing climate.
