Associate Professor Fiona Johnson

Node Leader

Associate Professor Fiona Johnson is the director of the UNSW Water Research Centre and is internationally recognised in hydrology, focusing on the impact of flooding and extreme events, and how hazards may change under climate change. She uses a mix of statistical and data driven methods to improve our understanding of hydrological extremes.

She has operational experience in flood forecasting and is currently undertaking research into the use of nature-based solutions to improve flood resilience of communities in the Pacific.
