Strong community organisations are critical for flood and bushfire recovery, and empowering the community as first responders is an important recommendation of the NSW Flood Inquiry. But how can community organisations be supported by government for longer term resilience? This project brings together diverse community leaders from NSW, a few years on from the bushfire/flood event to provide research-supported activities to share and articulate their priorities in formats useful to policy-makers and program delivery personnel.
