The proposal for funds to be reserved for fieldwork for the BNHRC was most consistently ranked as a high research priority across agencies during a prioritisation survey in October 2024. Since then, end-users and researchers were canvassed for their fieldwork priorities. A team of ecologists based at WSU have since taken field samples and performed data collection in support of several other projects.
